I probably don’t have to tell you that we are living during a time of great division, not only regarding religion, but also in the various countries around the world, and especially is this true right here in, what some have called, “The Divided States of America.” I don’t know about you, but I have not seen such division as exists today at any time during my 66 years upon this earth, and make no mistake, this division will be the downfall of America and the church, because it’s something Jesus Himself said would happen if it doesn’t get corrected. And also this division will be the reason behind the fulfillment of prophecy in these last days. With that said, let’s pray.

In the gospel of Mark 3:25 Jesus said, “If a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” And again in Matthew 12:25 He said, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.” And so there’s a principle at work here that will have a very certain outcome if division is allowed to prevail. As far as America is concerned, we’re told that “National apostasy will be followed by National ruin”, and I’ve never seen apostasy that hasn’t resulted in division, have you? And of course this same principle holds true for the church.

When I think of unity and division, I think of the phrase “United we stand, divided we fall.” These, or similar words, have been used in many different ways all throughout history. The core concept lies in the idea that if individual members of a certain group work on their own instead of as a team, they are each doomed to fail and will all be defeated.

Abraham Lincoln said, “I believe this government cannot endure, permanently half slave and half free. . . It will become all one thing, or all the other.” It’s evident that President Lincoln understood this Biblical principle that Jesus set in stone. In other words, there’s no getting around the fact that division causes relationships to dissolve.

I was on the Internet the other day and I read a story about a wife who decided to divorce her husband because she found out, as a Hilary supporter, that he had voted for Trump, and according to what I read, this is not an isolated story. Obviously there were more problems with this marriage than voting differences, but still, division causes problems of all kinds, and in this case evidently it was the straw that broke the camel’s back, as silly as it may seem.

In 1776, just before signing of the Declaration of Independence, Benjamin Franklin said to his colleagues, “We must, indeed, all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately.” You see, all the signers of the Declaration of Independence were putting their lives on the line, because if they were to lose the war for independence, they would all be executed by the British government, and so they understood the importance of being in unity, and of course, because of their commitment to their cause and to one another, they prevailed, and this kind of unity is something that’s important to the success of any war, and as Christians, are we not involved in a war? Not one with literal weapons, but nonetheless we are all involved in a warfare, and just as division will certainly cause a nation or a church to fall, it is just as certain that unity will bring success.

Notice what the apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”

Now I’m not going to take the time to explain these verses today, because that’s not my purpose. I simply read them to show that, as Christians, we’re all involved in a spiritual warfare, that’s also why the apostle Paul said we must “Put on the whole armour of God”, and to be successful in this warfare, we must be united to others who have the same core beliefs and goals, otherwise the team spirit that should exist will surely result in defeat.

Also in 1 Corinthians 1:10 notice what Paul says, “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

Oh for this kind of unity within the great Advent movement, amen? Friends, this inspired counsel is not an option, but a necessity if we’re going to accomplish the task of taking this gospel of the Kingdom to all the world so Jesus can come and put an end to the nightmare of immorality that is prevailing to an alarming extent in this world.

So, as Christians, what can we do to make this happen? How can we facilitate the mission that’s been given us to proclaim the truth for this time?

Well, one thing’s for sure, we can’t unify with others who are promoting errors that are a deadly poison to the soul, can we? If we did we would be violating the core principle that Jesus said would bring success. In Amos 3:3 it says, “Can two walk together, except they agree?” And of course the answer is no.

Notice how The Great Controversy, page 45 describes what Christians during the first centuries had to deal with and what they ultimately had to do because of growing division in the church. “After a long and severe conflict, the faithful few (notice, it’s always the faithful few and not the majority who are trying to do what’s right) “After a long and severe conflict, the faithful few decided to dissolve all union with the apostate church (that would included their membership) if she still refused to free herself from falsehood and idolatry. They saw that separation was an absolute necessity if they would obey the word of God. They dared not tolerate errors fatal to their own souls, and set an example which would imperil the faith of their children and children’s children. To secure peace and unity they were ready to make any concession consistent with fidelity to God; but they felt that even peace would be too dearly purchased at the sacrifice of principle. If unity could be secured only by the compromise of truth and righteousness, then let there be difference, and even war.”

Wow! According to the early Christians, actual war would be better than trying to work with a church that had lost its way. And how are we supposed to act today when dealing with a church under very trying and similar circumstances? I don’t think we should get physical or get involved in court cases, but surely we cannot be in unity with apostasy any more than the early Christians we just read about. We dare not tolerate errors fatal to our own souls and the souls of our children and children’s children any more than they did. You know, Jesus did give counsel to His disciples when people refused to hear the truth, but would rather continue in error. He said leave, and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them, and I think that’s pretty good counsel.

In the Review and Herald, July 24, 1888, Sister White said something about the condition of the church back then, and I’ll let you decide whether or not things have gotten any better over the past 129 years. She said, “Spiritual death has come upon the people that should be manifesting life and zeal, purity and consecration, by the most earnest devotion to the cause of truth. The facts concerning the real condition of the professed people of God, speak more loudly than their profession, and make it evident that some power has cut the cable that anchored them to the Eternal Rock, and that they are drifting away to sea, without chart or compass.”

According to The Great Controversy, page 598 the chart is the word of God and the compass, I believe, is the Spirit of Prophecy that points us to that word. In other words, Sister White was saying that the leaders of the church were not following the Bible, and were rejecting her counsel that would have led them in the right direction, but what can we say about the church today? Is it still drifting away on the open sea, or has it made its way back to the Eternal Rock? One or the other has to be true.

Let me just say this; if a ship is floating out in the open sea without chart or compass, and the fog of error and confusion have rolled in, what are the chances that that ship will make it safely back to where it came from? Pretty slim, right? More than likely it will either capsizing in the storm, or at best end up in a totally different place. And if the Eternal Rock has not moved, who or what will they be anchored to? As we go along I think you will see that the place the ship has ended up is not anywhere near where it started out.

Notice what it says in Selected Messages, Book 3, page 412 about unity, and this was written just a few years after she said the cable had been cut. “We have a testing message to give (and by the way, this is in the context of the loud cry, or the come out message of Revelation 18:1-5) “We have a testing message to give and I am instructed to say to our people, ‘Unify, unify.’ But (and this is a huge but) we are not to unify with those who are departing from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.” (Now notice, she’s instructing what she calls “our people”, and you can’t depart from the faith and accept the doctrines of devils unless you once had the truth. And so she’s not talking about not unifying with non-Adventists here, but not unifying with Adventists who are departing from the faith. Then she goes on to say) “With our hearts sweet and kind and true, we are to go forth to proclaim the message (of Revelation 18), giving no heed to those who lead away from the truth.”

And again, you can’t lead away from the truth and depart from the faith unless you once had it, can you? And so there’s no doubt that she’s talking about those within the church that are departing from the faith and not just those of other persuasions that we are to separate from.

I don’t say this with any satisfaction, but I have long ago stopped trying to work toward unity with a church that has no willingness to come back to where it was once anchored. I tried that for a while and made an honest effort, but to no avail. Like the early Christians we read about a few minutes ago, after a long and severe conflict, and that’s exactly what it was, I had no choice but to dissolve all union with the apostate church because she refused to free herself from falsehood. And it’s really just that simple, and I know of many others who have gone through this same struggle and unfortunately with the same results.

Now let me ask you a question. Do you think the devil understands that unity, even within his own ranks, is a necessity for his own success in his warfare against Christ and His church? Of course he does! He knows it’s a true principle that even he must follow if he’s going to win as many as possible to his side. And according to all accounts, and in terms of numbers, he has been more successful than God. That may be startling to you, but it’s true. Jesus said many go down the broad road to destruction and few take the straight and narrow way to the Kingdom. And so, yes, the devil well understands that he needs and wants unity, but its unity in apostasy.

We’re told in Testimonies for the church, Volume 6, page 242 that, “Satan is uniting his forces for perdition”, and his success rate is very good. And so, without a doubt the devil understands this principle very well and is using it to his advantage and, most of the time, better than those who claim to have the truth, and that’s very unfortunate. While men have slept, the devil has stolen a march upon us, and to some degree, we all bear responsibility for that.

Now I want to switch gears for a minute. The phrase “Unity in diversity” is used over and over again in the Spirit of Prophecy, but what does that mean? Does it mean we are to remain united with those who are imbibing and disseminating error? Obviously not, because we’ve already been told not to unite with those that are departing from the faith and giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. So what does “Unity in diversity” mean? I don’t want to take a lot of time with this, but let me give you a sampling of what this phrase means so we’re not fooled into thinking that God wants us to be united to others even though they’re promoting false doctrines and that somehow God will straighten things out if we just come together.

Bible Commentary, Volume 5, page 1148, “What kind of unity is spoken of in these words?—Unity in diversity. Our minds do not all run in the same channel, and we have not all been given the same work. God has given to every man his work according to his several ability. There are different kinds of work to be done, and workers of varied capabilities are needed.”

Bible Commentary, Volume 6, page 1083, “There are no two leaves of a tree precisely alike; neither do all minds run in the same direction. But while this is so, there may be unity in diversity. . . Look at the flowers in a carpet, and notice the different colored threads. All are not pink, all are not green, all are not blue. A variety of colors are woven together to perfect the pattern. So it is in the design of God. He has a purpose in placing us where we must learn to live as individuals. We are not all fitted to do the same kind of work, but each man’s work is designed by God to help make up His plan.”

And one more from Sons and Daughters of God, page 286, “We seldom find two persons exactly alike. Among human beings as well as among the things of the natural world, there is diversity. Unity in diversity among God’s children—the manifestation of love and forbearance in spite of difference of disposition—this is the testimony that God sent His Son into the world to save sinners.”

In 1 Corinthians 12 the apostle Paul clearly defines what’s meant by unity in diversity. Notice what he says beginning with verse 4, “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: but all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.” (Now skip down to verse 28) “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues”, and so forth.

So it’s very clear that unity in diversity has to do with the various gifts and talents and dispositions of individuals in the church, and that they can work together for the advancement of the gospel even though there are these differences, but this has nothing whatsoever to do with trying to maintain unity when there is doctrinal error, especially when there are differences of belief regarding the pillars of our faith. If that were the case we could go to whatever church or denomination we like and still be safe, but of course that is totally false.

How can we have unity with a church that is teaching its members that they are covered with the shed blood of Christ even while they fail to have victory over sin? That’s the basis of spiritualism when you think about it, because spiritualism began in the Garden of Eden when the serpent told Eve she could disobey God’s explicit command, and that’s sin by the way, and yet she would not surely die. This salvation in sin message has been the devil’s purpose ever since he was booted out of heaven, and it is still his purpose today, just with a different twist.

Notice what it says in The Great Controversy, page 582. I have read this statement to you many times in the past, but it bears repeating, because we should never forget what the great controversy is all about, and what the third angel’s message is all about and get off on some tangent like many have done. Here’s what it says, page 582, “From the very beginning of the great controversy in heaven it has been Satan’s purpose to overthrow the law of God. It was to accomplish this that he entered upon his rebellion against the Creator, and though he was cast out of heaven he has continued the same warfare upon the earth. To deceive men, and thus lead them to transgress God’s law, is the object which he has steadfastly pursued. . . The last great conflict between truth and error is but the final struggle of the long-standing controversy concerning the law of God.”

Now, think this through with me for a minute. The devil could not be more successful in accomplishing the goal we just read about, than by fooling Christians, and especially Seventh-day Adventist Christians, into believing that they can transgress God’s law and not surely die spiritually and eventually physically for all eternity.

What we’re talking about here is what the Alpha and Omega Apostasy, which began within the denomination with Doctor Kellogg over 100 years ago, is all about. Are you aware of what Sister White said was the basis of the Alpha apostasy? Let me read it to you, it’ll just take a couple minutes. It’s from Selected Messages, Book 1, pages 197, 200, 202, and 203. I’ll just be reading the most pertinent sentences, because we don’t have time to read 6 pages, and I don’t want to put you to sleep, but I do encourage you to read the whole thing. Here’s what it says, “In the book Living Temple (the book that Doctor Kellogg wrote) there is presented the alpha (or the beginning) of deadly heresies. The omega (or the final outcome) will follow, and will be received by those who are not willing to heed the warning God has given. . . (So we’ve been warned) Be not deceived; many will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. We have now before us the alpha of this danger. The omega will be of a most startling nature. . . It introduces that which is nought but speculation in regard to the personality of God and where His presence is. . . I knew that the omega would follow in a little while; and I trembled for our people.”

Sounds pretty serious, doesn’t it? Now let me read one other quote to bring this all together. This is from Sermons and Talks, Volume 1, page 343, “In Living Temple the assertion is made that God is in the flower, in the leaf, in the sinner. (That’s pantheism by the way) But God does not live in the sinner. The Word declares that He abides only in the hearts of those who love Him and do righteousness. God does not abide in the heart of the sinner; it is the enemy who abides there.”

Could anything be more clear? So, the alpha apostasy that began within the confines of the church would eventually develop into the omega apostasy within the confines of the church, that’s #1, and #2, it has to do with where God’s presence is, and we just read that, “God does not abide in the heart of the sinner; it is the enemy who abides there.” And #3, she said the omega will be of a most startling nature, and she trembled for our people, and not only that, but she said those that did not heed the warning given would fall for the devil’s big lie, which the majority has all ready done.

Now let me ask, what could be more startling and cause such trembling to the prophet of God than the realization and the distinct possibility that the very church that was raised up by God to take a message to the world about the importance of being saved from sin, being changed to a message of salvation in sin? A false message that says, “It’s not the enemy who abides in the heart of the sinner, oh no, but it’s God who dwells there.” What could be more startling than that? And yet this is being widely taught today, in various ways, in most of the Seventh-day Adventist conference churches; if not openly from the pulpit, it’s being done by the way they live.

And one more point. You may not be aware of this, but did you know that what it says in Selected Messages, Book 1, pages 204, 205 is also in the context of the alpha omega apostasy? Do you remember what it says there about our religion being changed and what would be the result? Let me read it to you, because this is a description of what the alpha and omega apostasy would accomplish for the devil within the church.

“The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation  would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. (Now let me stop right there for a minute. One of the main pillars of our faith is that the commandments of God are to be kept through the power of the Holy Spirit working in our lives, but the omega teaches the commandments can’t be perfectly kept as long as we have fallen flesh. In other words, no one can live without sinning; Jesus was the only one who could do that because His human nature was different than ours, therefore we are covered with the blood because it’s not possible for us to live without sin. Now listen carefully as I continue reading) Were this reformation to take place, (this would be a reformation from truth to error and not error to truth) what would result? (In other words, what would be the result of the omega apostasy that teaches God lives in the sinner) The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. (that would be from the 1850s to 1904 when this was written) A new organization would be established. (By the way, she calls it a new organization because the principles of truth would be discarded, and not that there would be another organization with a new name. They would retain the same institutions and buildings and so forth, but the religion would be changed, and she calls that a “new organization”) Books of a new order would be written. (You can go to any ABC store and find new theology books galore) A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. (In other words, a bunch of highly educated people would explain away the simple truths of God’s word) The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. (the word “wonderful” meaning strange or astonishing and not something good) The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. (In other words, once the omega has taken root, nothing would be able to stop it. That’s why Sister White says the great apostasy which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger, will continue to do so until the Lord shouts from heaven. You can read that in Special Testimonies, Series B, page 57, and this is also in the context of the alpha omega apostasy) The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice (or good behavior is better than bad behavior), but God being removed (in other words, He’s not there any more should these things happen, which they have), they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. (By the way, wouldn’t Adventists taking other Adventists to court to sue them over the denominational name be depending on human power? Just saying!) Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.”

The sweeping away of the structure is the sweeping away of this new organization, or new movement that was once the structure of truth. That’s the only thing left to take place friends, and that will happen shortly after the structure gives up the Sabbath for Sunday, and yes, sadly it will happen.

The Review and Herald, March 18, 1884, and this is a prophecy, “The Lord has a controversy with His professed people in these last days. (With who? The Sunday churches? No, His professed people at the end of time) In this controversy men in responsible positions (wouldn’t that be church leaders) will take a course directly opposite to that pursued by Nehemiah. (Nehemiah, you’ll remember, brought in Sabbath reform to God’s people anciently, but these church leaders do the opposite. Didn’t we just read that this new movement would lightly regard the Sabbath?) They will not only ignore and despise the Sabbath themselves, but they will try to keep it from others by burying it beneath the rubbish of custom and tradition. (In other words they will try to convince Sabbath keepers that Sunday is God’s holy day after all and use the excuse that the custom and tradition of Sunday worship should prevail) In churches and in large gatherings in the open air (that would be campmeetings), ministers (professed Adventist ministers) will urge upon the people the necessity of keeping the first day of the week.”

And really, what difference does it make which day we keep if we’re saved in sin anyway. And so we can see where this false teaching of salvation in sin ultimately leads, can’t we? If we are in a saved condition while we violate the Sabbath, or any other commandment for that matter, why not just go to church on Sunday and avoid all the persecution that will come upon seventh-day Sabbath keepers? Why not just go along with the crowd so we don’t have to lose our material things, or go to jail, or have the death sentence pronounced against us?

What I have been describing to you from inspired writings, taken in context by the way, is Satan’s purpose to overthrow the law of God in the lives of Seventh-day Adventist, which, except for caving to Sunday, he has pretty much already accomplished through the omega apostasy. And with that success he has come dangerously close to totally negating the third angel’s message that’s supposed to go to the whole world. But be assured of this one thing, the message will go forth and the work of God will be finished in the earth, but who will give the message? I’ll tell you who, just a few lonely voices who have heeded the warning about the alpha omega apostasy. A few voices from a little company who are standing in the light, sighing and crying for all the abominations that are done in the land, and more especially because church members are doing after the manner of the world. You can read all about this in Testimonies for the church, Volume 5, page 209.

“United we stand, divided we fall.” This is a true statement, and Biblically based; but we are not to unify with those who have succumbed to the omega apostasy, because they have departed from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. We need to get it in our heads that it’s a doctrine of the devil to promote the idea that God lives in the sinner, when in reality it’s the enemy who abides there.

In The Review and Herald, December 24, 1889 it says, “Every day that you remain in sin, (you are abiding in Christ! Do you think that’s what it says? No! It says, “Every day that you remain in sin, you are in Satan’s ranks; and should you sicken and die without repentance, you would be lost.”

Pretty plain, isn’t it? Unless we learn to abide in Christ continually, our feet will not leave the ground when Jesus comes, that I have to tell you, because it’s the truth. But I can also tell you that all who come to Jesus in true repentance and confession of sin will be accepted, cleansed, and empowered to live a life of victory over sin, because that’s also the truth, and aren’t you thankful for that? The God of heaven is a loving God that will adopt you as His child no matter what your past, but He’s not OK with you continuing to live like you’ve lived in the past. Does that make sense? Yes He is a God of love, but He is also a God of justice, and to all who believe that God lives in the sinner when in reality the devils lives there, justice will be meted out, and believe me, you don’t want to receive that kind of justice.

Provision has been made for you to live without sin in sinful flesh, just as Paul said Jesus our example did in Romans 8:3, and all who daily partake of the divine nature can and will grow up to the full stature of men and women in Christ Jesus. Through faith in the sacrifice of Christ, there truly is power in the blood, friends, not only to forgive and cleanse from all sin, but to create a new heart that is inclined to obey and a new spirit that desires to please God; that’s what we need to understand, and more importantly what we need to experience.

In Ephesians 4:12, 13 we’re told what the gifts of the Spirit were given for.  Let’s read it, “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all come in (what) the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”

If there is no perfecting of the saints, no perfect men and women, no growing up into the fullness of Christ, then there can be no unity of the faith, and if there’s no unity of the faith, how can we stand together and present a united front to the enemy of our souls? And how can we take the last message of mercy to the world? Is it any wonder why Satan wants Seventh-day Adventists to believe they’re saved in sin? Is it any wonder why he wants them to think that perfection of character is impossible? Is it any wonder that he wants them to believe they can never come unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ?

A church that doesn’t believe they can, will never have the right kind of unity, and therefore will never take the right message to the world, and that’s a fact! All their message will do is cause confusion, because it’s an opposing message to the truth, and if people don’t study the truth detector—the word of God—for themselves, they will never discover the truth that will truly set them free from sin. So if a church in apostasy is never going to prepare a people for the coming of the Lord, who’s going to do it?

It’s that “little company” we talked about a moment ago, along with the eleventh hour workers that are yet to help swell the ranks. They may be scattered all over the world right now, but that doesn’t mean there is no unity in their ranks, because the word of God binds them together.

Let me read something about this from a letter Sister White wrote to Elder Starr and his wife, and again about the time the alpha apostasy was gaining momentum.

Letter 103, June 3, 1903, “Multitudes are to be gathered into the fold. Many who have known the truth have corrupted their way before God and departed from the faith. The broken ranks will be filled up by those represented by Christ as coming in at the eleventh hour. There are many with whom the Spirit of God is striving.

“The time of God’s destructive judgments is the time of mercy for those who have no opportunity to learn what is truth. Tenderly will the Lord look upon them. His heart of mercy is touched; His hand is still stretched out to save, while the door is closed to those who would not enter. Large numbers will be admitted who in these last days hear the truth for the first time.”

In this technical, digital, Internet age, I believe the time will come when the truth will go viral, that is, spread like a virus when the time is right. All the time we hear what individuals on the Internet are doing, and within a matter of hours it goes viral, and millions of people get to see it or hear about it, and that can happen, and I believe it will happen that way with the truth as the crisis of the ages builds to a climax. If God spares my life long enough to be a part of that world-wide message when the world has ears to hear, I want to be unified with others who are giving that loud cry message we read about a few minutes ago.

Now, very briefly, do you know what constitutes the loud cry? It’s the third and fourth angels’ messages combined; you can read about that in Early Writings, page 277. The third angel’s message is a call to separate from personal sin, and the fourth angel’s message is a call to separate from others who won’t separate from personal sin. That’s it in a nutshell, and when you have both of these messages combined you have the sounding of the loud cry.

Unfortunately, for the past several years now, that call-out message has been  going to the very church God raised up to give it, because they’ve been deceived and preoccupied by the omega apostasy; and they never will give it, because we’ve already been told that the alpha omega apostasy is only going to get worse.

It’s really a sad state of affairs that the professed people of God are in the condition they’re in today, but nevertheless, “We have a testing message to give”, and that message is, ‘Unify, unify.’ But (even though this is true, yet) we are not to unify with those who are departing from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. With our hearts sweet and kind and true, we are to go forth to proclaim the message, giving no heed to those who lead away from the truth.”
